Fresh Start

I've kept a diary since I was five years old. It's time to put down the pencil and share my perspective with the world.

In modern life, we're constantly surrounded by our ever-evolving culture. Social media shoves the idea of perfection in your face, politics down your throat, and toxicity into your brain. We're confronted by consumer culture at every corner we turn, both in reality and online.

Our genuine, raw attitudes toward current events are clouded by the media we read and watch, morphing our opinions into a homogeneous, politically correct moral code. For such a progressive era, it seems that we are still conforming to the status quo. The status quo that preaches diversity is the very one that standardizes us.

My intention with these posts is to be as authentic and unfiltered as possible. It's time for real conversations, sans rose-colored lenses.
